    Chromagranin A positive cells were scattered throughout the epithelium of the small intestine of control mice, while only a few chromagranin A positive cells were present in the <i>Foxa1/a2</i> mutants. Very few chromagranin A/Tunel double positive cells were observed in either controls or mutants.
