    The <i>CrkL</i> floxed allele carries three loxP sites, since the <i>Neo</i>TK gene is present, whereas only two loxP sites, flanking the first exon, are present in the <i>Crk</i> floxed allele. Crk is completely absent and CrkL expression is dramatically reduced in the cerebellum. Crk is not expressed in the hippocampus and CrkL expression decreased dramatically. Some cells, including pyramidal neurons in the CA3 region of the hippocampus, retained mild CrkL expression.
