Philips Allegro PET scanner

eagle-i ID

Resource Type

  1. Positron emission tomography scanner

  1. Resource Description
"The Allegro is a PET-only instrument with an intrinsic spatial resolution of 4.8 mm. The scanner operates in 3D (no septa) utilizing a fully 3D iterative algorithm (3D-RAMLA) for image reconstruction. The GSO crystals achieve 16% energy resolution. Attenuation correction relies on a transmission scan performed in singles acquisition mode using a Cs-137 point source. Philips Allegro Philips Medical Systems Reconstructed FOV: 25.6, 57.6 cm Axial FOV: 18 cm Detector Design: 4x6x20mm GSO crystals Spatial Resolution: 4.8 mm FWHM (NEMA) Installed at HUP in 2001"
