"ICM+ is research-only neuromonitoring integration and analysis software that can be used in parallel to routinely collect neuromonitoring and vital sign data, e.g., in patients being monitored in the ICU or the OR:
• Continuous collection of data from clinical instruments for multi-parameter analysis including heart rate, arterial blood pressure, respiratory rate, end-tidal CO2, intracranial pressure (ICP), brain tissue oxygen saturation and near infrared spectroscopy regional oxygen saturation(depending on brand).
• Non-invasive ICP can be calculated by transcranial Doppler flow velocity and arterial blood pressure data input and cerebral autoregulation can be monitored with appropriate data inputs.
• Data is recorded and integrated in a bedside laptop computer for research.
• Investigators are “rented” a laptop computer with installed ICM+ software with an analog digital converter.
• The option to purchase the software to use on an investigator’s own equipment and receive instruction from the core is also available.
• A flat fee per study is charged to either rent the system or to purchase the software. Approximate fees are $900 to rent the system for one year (charged monthly @ $75; or purchase of the software license @ $500).
• Assistance is provided for initial setup but data recording, analysis and storage is the responsibility of the investigator."
