Research Opportunities

  • Immediate fit prosthesis using innovative technology: transtibial prosthesis. ( Research Opportunity )

This research seeks to assess the potential for limb ischemia with a new modular, immediate fit, transtibial prosthesis. The prosthesis can be adjusted to accommodate limb volume changes, so that it can be tightened or loosened accordingly. We are interested in assessing peripheral vascular compromise, in order to determine if the prosthesis can be buckled too tight.

Services

  • Gait analysis service ( Analysis service )

Gait analysis is covered by insurance to aid in surgical planning in patients with gait disorders associated with cerebral palsy. Gait analysis can still be used for other applications but will be charged as fee for service.
